I haven't had it long, so only used it a couple times in each room. It feels very solid, not lightweight plastic like some. This plus the good suction makes it heavier and feels harder to push, but I have very unmuscular arms, so it may not feel so to someone else. I have gone through the popular vacuums at the rate of 2 a year for the past 3 years. 2 Wind Tunnels, a Shark, and a Dirt Devil, as well as my mother's Electrolux. I have long hair and a long haired cat. Vacuum repairmen always blame that on ruining the rollers, though I clean it after every use. I think the lightweigh models just let the roller bounce around and get banged up more.
So, far this one has left the carpet (high pile) looking cleaner and standing up more than before.
