I love my little sweeper! It is extremely easy to handle, far more effective than I expected, on both bare floors and carpet. Furthermore, it is portable to any place you might need to clean up a bit -- weighing only 4 pounds. I'm not a maniac about cleaning, but bits of things on the floor I find annoying, and just a quick swipe cleans things up. I also have a hand vac, but the little sweeper does more with less effort from me! It reminds me of the Bissell sweeper (non-motorized)every housewife had when I was a child. Someone realized that sometimes returning to the past -- with a little improvement -- is a good idea.

I've only had the sweeper a few days, but I have found it very useful. I needed to help clean up an office for a non-profit organization, and I could just put the sweeper in my car and then use it quickly to get the carpet in good order. It reminds me of the Bissel sweepers everyone had many years ago -- minus the battery power. It has worked equally well at home and does a better job on some places than my upright vacuum. It's good for cleaning up some of the little dirt and such that my dog, and my husband and I, track in. We live in the country in a very sandy area.

The sweeper exceeded expectation. Picks up material that it would not be expected to. Example : hair, lint, sand. Also it runs longer on a charge than you would think it will. Very easy to empty trash from bin. Overall, quite pleased with the product, lightweight and maneuverable.
Bad stuff: has no headlight, and is not self cleaning.

This product works fine. However - my last one from a different company - had alot more power and picked up better. So while this one works fine I am disappointed in the power and wish I had not changed products.

Works very well, especially on hardwood floors. The beater bar is just strong enough and, yet, not that powerful to do a good job. Saves a lot of time vis a vis dragging out the corded vacuum to do small, touch up areas.

When new, we charged it as directed and it worked satisfactorily. We never used it a lot and had no reason to recharge it. A few days ago we used it and the battery ran out of power. We tried to recharge it and could not. Called Bissell and they offered no help. Called a local customer service location and they said it was cheaper to replace the sweeper than it was to replace the battery.

With two kids and a kitchen filled with self-replenishing crumbs, our floor was a constant mini-obstacle jumble of crumbs, cereal, rice grains, and everything else a family of four generates. Multiple daily sweepings were cumbersome and were not something the kids could do well by themselves. The Bissell 2880 changes all that. The kids can effectively clean up after themselves and for the first time in years I can walk across the floor without having to wear shoes so things wouldn't stick to me. The vacuum picks up everything and works wonderfully. Love it.
