I use this fan on my bed table, when I sleep, to keep a little air moving above my upper body. It works well and is lightweight. To assemble it you just push the top part into the bottom part-takes two seconds, and no screws, etc. Improvements I would recommend are: adding a third, lower speed and placing the controls on the front instead of the back. Those two issues are the reasons for my rating of four instead of five. November 17, 2010

I bought 2 of these little fans for my husband, who isn't comfortable in the Florida summers unless he has air blowing in his face at all times. These were really inexpensive and do move a lot of air. They are pretty noisy though. Wish I could find something totally quiet! June 29, 2010

I purchased this fan a few years ago, and I can honestly say that it's been the best desk fan that I have owned. I always use a desk fan at work and at home to keep the air moving, and the Lasko Desk Fan does it perfectly. I have never had to do anything to this fan in three years other than clean it. And to show that it will hold up to hard use, this fan is left on 24/7 all year long and only turned off for cleaning. No other desk fan that I have owned has ever come close to lasting as long. I have three of these fans, and one of the clip-on versions and they all have lasted over three years. So to say I am impressed with their quality and reliability would be an understatement.
