I bought it for picking up dog hair on hard wood floors. It's great the only drawback is too short of cord. It's nice and lite weight, I bought a second one for my father.

Works great. I use it only on wood floors. I have two dogs and 3 cats so a lot of hair accumulates there. It works very well on the hair and only had to dump the cup once. I am very please with it.
