How You Can Easily Help the Victims of the Hurricane Sandy Disaster
On October 29th Hurricane Sandy struck the Northeastern region of the United States. It was one of the largest Atlantic hurricanes in diameter on record with winds reaching 1,100 miles. The storm left millions of people without power and thousands were forced to evacuate their homes. It's estimated that it caused over $20 billion in damage!
It will take a long time to recover from such a destructive storm but organizations like the American Red Cross are providing help. According to their website, "On the night Sandy made landfall, the American Red Cross responded immediately, with more than 250 shelters open across sixteen states that provided overnight stays to nearly 11,000 people."
However, more help will be needed to continue to help the victims of this devastating storm. Air & Water would like to provide you with a way to help by donating 5% of the cost of your order directly to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief efforts. In addition the company will match a portion of your donation. Please help us reach our goal of raising over $10,000 to help those in need.
How it Works
During the checkout process just enter the code "REDCROSS" in the promotion code box then click apply. This 5% isn't an additional charge to you, but actually comes from the profit Air & Water would be making from the order.
Where the Money Will Go
The entire 5% of the price of your order will be donated directly to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
What the Money Will be Doing
According to the Red Cross' website your help will, "provide essential aid including shelter, meals, basic health care, emotional support and other emergency services."
On top of your 5% donation Air & Water will match a portion of the amount and make an additional donation to the Red Cross' relief efforts.
