Smoke Air Purifiers - Start Breathing Healthier Air!

Tobacco smoke can almost be called the houseguest that
just won't leave. Because of the chemical nature and fine particle
structure of smoke molecules, many consumers will find that products
like air and fabric fresheners are ineffective at controlling tobacco
smoke and tars. The size of a smoke particle is tiny - roughly .01 to 1
micron - and they have the ability to permeate small spaces and porous
surfaces such as clothing, furniture, and upholstery. In fact, smoke can
even damage and cause discoloration to home furnishings and wall
surfaces.
Scientific evidence has also shown that first and second-hand
exposure to tobacco smoke can lead to a wide range of both short-term
and long-term health effects such as immediate asthma attacks, runny
noses, coughing, wheezing, breathing difficulties, and even cancer and
lung problems. Tobacco smoke also contains over 4000 chemicals know to
be toxic or carcinogenic, including formaldehyde, benzene, vinyl
chloride, arsenic, ammonia, and hydrogen cyanide.
Given smoke's molecular structure, removing it can be
both difficult and costly. The only solution to eliminating tobacco
smoke odors is to clean all surfaces, cover hard surfaces, neutralize
odors, and of course, getting rid of the source of the smoke itself.
One of the most effective ways to neutralize and eliminate smoke odors
is to use an air purifier utilizing a refined blend of Activated Carbon
in a filter with a large surface area. Activated carbon filters are
often hailed as "miracle" filter media because they have the unique
ability of removing offensive tastes, color, odors, chemicals, and VOCs
by acting as a sponge, and many scientists believe that this is the
result of the affinity that these pollutants have for carbon because of
Van Der Waal forces. Activated Carbon is also the preferred method
endorsed by the EPA to eliminate potentially dangerous chemicals from
the air.
Smoke air purifiers with Activated Carbon are
specially-designed to deal with tobacco smoke emitted from cigarettes
and cigars, and often work similar to the filter on a cigarette. These
are excellent choices for those who smoke inside the home, and also for
restaurants, homes, bars, and public spaces. A smoking air purifier will
both eliminate noxious and potentially hazardous smoke, and allow you to
breathe clean, toxin-free air.
